The meeting was called to order at 8:05 AM.  Board of Director members present were Larry Hall, President; Stan Miller, Vice President; Sandy Herrin, Secretary; Bob Langin, Treasurer and Directors Vicki Bussey and Carol Masters.  Absent was Director Doneen Sprowl.  The audience consisted of 20 attendees.

The original rule read as follows:  “NO FOOD OR DRINKS ARE PERMITTED IN ANY OF THE CARPETED ROOMS”.  The rule change reads as follows:  “NO FOOD OR DRINKS ARE PERMITTED IN ANY OF THE CARPETED ROOMS EXCEPT THE CARD ROOM WHERE AN INDIVIDUAL MAY BRING SNACKS AND/OR BEVERAGES FOR HIS OR HER PERSONAL CONSUMPTION.”

OPEN MIKE:

Lot 235     Carol Purcell read a note submitted by Len Kellar (absent from meeting) urging the homeowners to pass the rule change.

Lot 283     Dottie Wyatt voiced her opinion against the snack portion of the rule change.  Only wants water allowed.

Larry called for a motion to accept the rule change.  Bob Langin so moved, motion seconded by Vicki Bussey, and motion unanimously passed after a roll call vote.  Several of the Board Members stated they had some reservations about the change.  Bill Galbraith asked why the board had voted yes when they had concerns.  The response was because so many of the homeowners (146) had signed a petition asking for the change, the Board felt yes votes were justified.  The Activities Committee will be asked to develop ways to minimize spills and stains.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 AM.
